I just changed over to a full touring bike. A Honda Goldwing 1800. 120 brake horse pwr. It's a blast and I hope to use it often. Next week is a trip to Colorado and Moab for a 3000 mile jaunt. The wife and I will be doing 600 there and back with 250 to 400 mile days in between. I will get to see how she (the bike and the wife) can hold up to so much travel. As I get older, smarter, wiser and much better looking I felt a change was needed.
I still have the DR650 and the Husky TE450, as keepers, and the strom that I would like to unload ASAP.
Hope to see you all soon, David H

You are going to look awfully out of place on the White Rim Trail, Poison Spider Mesa, and Slickrock, but more power to you!david h wrote:I just changed over to a ... Honda Goldwing 1800 ... Next week is a trip to ... Moab ...
Have a great trip. And enjoy the new ride and new type of riding.

Cool, David. In some respects, the DL1000 and the Goldwing are similar machines. But then the Goldwing takes everything to the extreme. I'm sure the wife and you will be much happier and comfy on the Goldwing for the long haul.
What's the DL1000 worth? Post up in the classifieds when you have the details ready.

I saw David and his new bike a couple weeks ago in Wamego. The bike is yellow. You will not miss David riding down the street. I bet you can even see the bike at night in the garage with the lights off. A Barcalounger on wheels for sure. I'm not certain that Dave's getting any better looking though...... Enjoy the new ride "Big D".

Rumor has it that you are taking your wing and wife over Cinnamon & Engineer passes to show her the really good stuff. Then the White Rim Trail. At the posted 15 MPH (rangers are now using radar on that trail so keep the wing under 100).
Have fun.
