Heart of America Motorcycle Enthusiast?

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Heart of America Motorcycle Enthusiast?

Post by Foster »

OK, so the monthly meeting for Heart of America Motorcycle Enthusiast MC is tonight. I plan on attending but was wondering if anyone had some opinion of this group, good or bad, before I give any dues to them? Thanks ahead of time guys!

I went to this meeting last night and it was worth going. Even from all the way out in Leavenworth. It was mostly older gentleman but there were plenty of younger guys there and a few couples. They did a presentation on Schuberth helmets, with an actual rep from the company. It was pretty interesting. They said they have about 500 members, although most don't make the meetings. There were about 50 guys there last night. They had a fairly good dual sport showing present.

I don't know if it is for everyone but I plan on going to their monthly meetings. Dues were 20, but my brother and I did not fork it over just yet. Maybe after the next meeting. If nothing else it affords an opportunity to network with other riders. I want to make sure that they actually ride and don't just meet up to drink beer once a month. :D Although fun, I can do that in Leavenworth without driving an hour and a half round trip.

The owner of Engle motors was there and I talked to him for quite a while! :)

There was another meeting last night. It was a good time. Cold drinks, motorcycles, good group of guys (21 last night), and it was even warm enough to ride out from Leavenworth. It was a good use of a Weds night! If you sat at home and caught up on prime time TV  you should consider coming out to the meetings. This is a group of guys with a wealth of experience to share and you are guaranteed to have some laughs. Not to mention, 4 of the 6 bikes that showed up were KLRs! :D
