Ride Sun Dec. 6

Post by Stu »

Get your bikes out for the "end of fall" ride with good weather (NOAA says: "
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43") at Perry. Kickstands up at 1:00.

Help me celebrate my 70th! (Upcoming on the 11th but this is a good weather date!)

I'm going to consider this. I may be able to make it work. There is nobody better to lead you around Perry's maze than Stu!

I'd try to come out and bust some bark on Saturday with you. I'll watch the board & see what you guys decide.

NOAA now says 39 on Sunday with a 20% chance of snow but 41 on Saturday with plenty of sunshine.

Should we consider Saturday? Or just keep our options open and see what develops?

I have wanted to go out there and putt around on my pig however these next two weekend are the KS rifle deer season and I have 4 nephews to guide. When I say guide I want to get them in a place they can shot a nice buck but not one as nice as mine during bow season.

Saturday afternoon is looking better all the time. NOAA now is saying 38 degrees on Sunday with a chance of rain and snow, but not much (20%). Anyway, the 41+ degrees on Saturday afternoon will make better temps out at Perry BUT it will also unlock some of the frozen ground with 1/4" of snot on top of ice in the woods. It was fairly dry out there this past weekend when Mark and I were out. It had through Wed. to get even more rideable. I would vote for Sat. afternoon, guys. Kickstands up at 2:00 OK with you? Troy? Harvey? Mark? Others?

Other ideas? If you cannot make Saturday we could take a chance on Sunday but I need to know!

AJayHawkFan: I see Mangino resigned. Was something really wrong there or was it Perkins? Riding: you can bring your bow and arrow to Perry. The deer are thick in there since there are no guns and they apparently know it.

Due to a schedule change, I've got some things to do Sat PM so the 2PM start time puts me out too late. I think I'll just burn some local dirt early as I need to have everything cleaned up & put away by about 2ish. Happy 70th Stu, what better way to celebrate than on a dirt bike. You guys ride safe.

I think it was Perkins wanting his own coach there and Mangino's record this year and problems gave him an excuse.

I can't say for sure------- But I think I saw the bump man out testing a PINK  50 cc scooter, similar to a vespa. It had every girlie thing you could get or want, including handle bar tassels and a chrome tail rack that would help support what the seat couldn't handle.

We love you Doug, David H

On closer inspection, I think Bump's scooter was a limited edition Barbie model! Naw, I'm sure that hot rod Yamaha is still in the garage.
Need to meet at School creek sometime this winter. Was fun last spring when I rode with you there Doug.

You guys missed a great day riding. Perry was about perfect. Mark, Beau and I had a great time. Some slick spots but they were avoidable. Cannot tell you how gerat it was! And not many people out there.

Let me know when you do school creek, Doug. I'd love to be there as well. Perhaps you should start a new thread with a date. I think this thread is toast.
