Any reason not to add heated grips?

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Any reason not to add heated grips?

Post by Savage »

I'm getting ready to get some heaters and new grips... Any reason why I shouldn't install heat?

Any tips for me before I install them?

Thanks!

My first mod to a bike. Lets me ride at least 10 oF cooler comfortably.

Just use a switched power supply (on my LC4 I use the turn signal circuit ... figure that if the grips short out I can live without turn signals as my choices were ignition, headlight, brake, turn/tail.) so that you don't leave them on and run down the battery. On my MXC I have them on the AC side of the system.

Got the pads and new grips mounted up. Now I need to figure out what wire to tap into on my DRZ. Anyone know? Where did you ground yours?
Thanks!
