Troy and I went on a little impromptu ride this morning.

Image

The yellow is our track. The purple is what Troy planned. The minimum maintenance roads were a bit muddy. Full report at http://home.everestkc.net/malsin/Motorc ... 080106.htm

Teaser pictures:

I needed a bit of help to get this beheameth turned around (because I wasn't going any further):

Lessons learned:
1. When muddy, ride in the ruts. (already packed down)
2. When muddy, ride in the soupiest / wateriest crud. (soupy crap doesn't stick)

I feel better now. I wasn't the only one playing in the gumbo today, isn't cabin fever wonderful!

Looks like fun. We went out and MX'ed it today. After a lot of laps, and once the the temps came up, the track came around pretty nice. It took a bit of time to clean the bikes, but well worth it. What a great January day. :D :D :D

The photo of my KTM gumbo'ed up ... both the front and the rear tire were locked. I had to gun the engine and apply partial clutch to get the rear to turn ... slowly. Gave that up quickly.

HEHEHEHEHE!

Looks like all of us had a bit of mud fun. I ended up riding from the farm to Farlington. Speedy top down and dirt back. The roads down south were really nice compared to what you guys road. The only real mud was in the shaded valleys. Found two geocaches and road across a couple of low water bridges that were a few inches under water. The mud was just right for holding the bike sideways.

Looks like fun in the mud. Watching the video reminded me of riding in the sand dunes in Colorado, but only cleaner. Watch the high pressure water on those wheel bearings.

Yeah, I should have followed Troy up onto the grass along the field. Had fun any which way.
