The Sexy 2008 Aprilia RXV/SXV 450/550

Image above is the SXV (S is for super-motard). RXV is the dirt machine.

Twin cylinder, dual exhaust, fuel-injected. Of course there are up and down sides to all that, but I have to imagine it is a smooth, powerful, machine. You have to agree it's a sexy beast, though.

The guy winning all the supermoto competitions is on one of these Aprilias.

Oh dude.........I hope your not looking at these. I have read a bit about them and I didnt like what I read. More expensive than any KTM and the Maintenance is more intense. Bottom line! Not sure if there is a dealer in KC but the one I know of is in Salina or Topeka. I read a first hand account on ADV that said it vibrated worse than an LC4. There is no way I would want to go get parts for this thing. Aprailla??? It mite as well be a Duc.

I'm definitely not thinking of getting one, but vibration? Worse than a single? That is hard to imagine. I did a lot of reading about this machine and what I was learning is that lots of people had reliability issues with the 2007, but this 08 has a lot of "improvements" to fix those issues.

Anyway..I'm just glad to see more bikes in the arena.
