New ADV rider in Paola, ks

Hey everyone. I have not ridden off road in many years. Even then it was just playing around. So I went and picked up a heavy ADV bike 3 weeks ago and have been enjoying the local backroads. I will be looking to meet some local riders in my area. I noticed something about a TAR group meet. Is that still happening?

The TARKC group seems to have morphed into more of an email chain, but Randy does post some info in this TARKC forum. They usually announce a monthly dinner meetup. Normally, they put on a couple great rides each year--one in the Spring and one in the Fall, and usually (always?) in Arkansas. In fact, they have their Spring ride happening THIS Thur - Sun (Apr 29 - May 2).

When they announce their dinners and events, I try to make sure they are at least on the RideForum.NET Calendar.

I know you have to work this weekend, but there are actually 3 ride events this weekend that I'm aware of. These are listed on the Calendar.

Thanks for the info Troy. I will not be able to goto the spring ride this year as I have to work this weekend. I will schedule the fall ride off. I just need a few weeks notice. The other part is I have no luggage yet. Looking to get the Mosko reckless 80 set. Gotta save up for it.
