You can ride without anyone. I do it at Perry were trails are now treacherous. If I crash on a rock ledge, a log or in a ditch I figure I'm a problem solver and can get out of there. Mud? Well you can shower later. Crash on logs and land next to a very big black snake? You probably won't be able to get your cell phone out fast enough to get a picture before it slithers off in a panic.
