KTM Rally- Aug. 19-21- Deadwood, SD

Is anyone already going to the Rally? If so I'd like to ride up with some others. I don't care to trailer up and the others that I'm meeting up there are either leaving too early for me or leaving from a different city. I'd like to leave ASAP on Aug. 18th to arrive in Deadwood at a decent time. Let me know yo!

That's tempting. But 750 miles each way in a day...pretty sure my backside can't handle that & still ride 3 days. You got the right bike for that: R1200GS=cruise and nice plush seat. If I do go I'd have to split that ride up, night before to Sioux City, out and back.

Not team orange! lol. I'm team motorcycle I was invited by some close friends and 1 of which I only see from time to time as he lives in Minneapolis. Were also taking some time to fly fish in Spearfish (oh and it's being fully sponsored )

No clue if i'm riding or not since i'm not sure how slammed work is going to be at that point.

I can do 800 in a day no problem....but do I want to......in August......

IDK about 800, but the 600 across Kansas & popup tstorms everyday has me thinking again about trailering. How bad can be way the heck out there? ...and back again...I know my luck. Savage you guys all got flood and tornado insurance?

I am out on the rally - however I will be left at home alone Labor Day weekend, so I will of course be riding everyday and generally screwing off.

Sorry I went silent... We had a change of plans slightly as well. I'm leaving KC about 11am on Thursday to then swing through Sioux Falls to grab J Dub. Then We'll blast across 90 until we hit the KOA in Deadwood. You know you want to

I probably have room to throw another bike in the back on the way home after everyone realizes how cold and wet they are from the Friday/Saturday rain fest that they have forecast.

Well I forgot to report back after the ride. Two words describe the area! Holy Cow! What a hidden treasure it was! If anyone is interested in maps and such let me know. Amazingly though SD keeps current maps on their website and when you purchase your off road sticker they have huge fold out maps as well. Very cool place!!!
