I did a quick run on the trails this eve ,mostly to get the pics off the trail cam. The ride sat. did the trails a lot of good , the deer won't even be able to get lost now. In this case traffic was good. Thanks for helping out.
Here is the link to some of what I found on the trail cam. Visitors and Villians...... you pick.

Eddie with all the villians I found on the cam I may need to invest on one of those HoMe things

Remember how my 990 wouldn't start that afternoon after riding dirt bikes?? I finally got it fixed today. I know, I know two months before I dug into it but I finally did today and I got her running in about 15 minutes. My only excuse is this isn't the best time of the year in Missouri to ride.

First off it wasn't the battery. Basically I just took the starter relay off and greased all the connectors and fuses and put it back together and it fired right up. I thought that was somewhat of a long shot as mine looked very clean compared to the others I saw posted online. I guess a clean looking contact might not always be good.

I posted this mainly for you Kendall... I know you have a 990 now. Next time you do maintenance I would grease the relay while your at it. Only takes a few minutes and may keep you from troubleshooting it on the road.

Ready to ride her now. Looks nice tomorrow. Anyone riding?

Thanks for the head's up, Jim! I'll have to take a look at it next time I'm messing with the bike. I definitely don't want to have that problem away from home, but at least now I'll have an idea of what to look for if it starts acting up.

Hopefully you got out for a ride today. I might have gone with you if I wasn't typing this message while sitting at the San Diego airport. Maybe I'll go for a little ride tomorrow since I took off work.

I know a friend of mine had trouble with the connector on his ignition switch, and had a wire chafing issue around his steering head, but his was an earlier 950. I was riding with him both times. With the ignition switch the bike would just die, but start again, run for a while then die again. The wire chafing caused it to blow a fuse every time he turned the bars to full lock. He made it back to camp both times, but was fortunate to have spare fuses along with him.
