Stage 2 was completed today but VS. starts coverage Monday Not sure how that will work ... Note the VS. schedule is ET and seems somewhat variable by day.

I missed the coverage of "today's" stage, but ...

Coma, (winner last year?) has been penalized twice:
1. 22 minutes for speeding through towns.
2. 6 hours (HOURS!) for (I believe) somehow swapping out for a new rear tire in the middle of the stage a few stages ago. I saw the video of his tire vs. others ... Duh!

I really enjoy the Dakar Rally as well and look forward to watching it every year! I would love to go down to watch it in person sometime now that it is in south america, or even voulunteer to help out in some way. I wish we could get more coverage than what is on Versus or the internet.
