It was 67 degrees yesterday and I'll be damned if I was not gonna ride somethin' somewhere. I rode the 620 to Lecompton and back via the river road, about 30 miles round trip. Saw some deer on one of the unmaintained roads. It was pretty muddy on that road but luckily there is enough rock to keep you from burying the bike. When I got home, I put the battery in the 450 and took it for a lap. I was anxious to see how it ran since I O-ringed the accel pump. It seems to have helped as the throttle response has improved. I hope the gas mileage doesn't go to hell as a result. I went down to the river just to see if anybody was there, (I knew some quads would be there) even though I knew it was too muddy for bikes. Yep, Quads galore, six truck loads of them. I rode up into the riding area a bit and it was pretty bad. I stopped and talked to a guy that had just bought his daughter (maybe 10 yrs old) a new mini quad for Christmas. This was it's/her maiden voyage. The little girl was caked in mud but she had a huge grin on her face, so did her dad. It was cool, reminded me of my daughter and I before she grew up and flew the coop. Nice day to ride yesterday. Hope some of you got out.......

Re: Ride yesterday.........
I had planned on the same thing - riding something somewhere, but had the flu for Christmas and still felt like poo yesterday. I'm ready for a ride though tomorrow!
A guy from Topeka took his SM KTM and his friend on a GS out on the dirt roads and got muddy too.
I'm thinking about going out around Wamego tomorrow.
