Re: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!
Thankful for most of the same things.
My in-laws came down from Wisconsin. My bro-in-law is an inside kind of guy so therefor his 10 yo son is as well. Until he comes to Mike's. My house rule: No video game will be connected to any TV in my house unless it is raining, dark, or dang cold. Amazingly I had my nephew outside most of yesterday helping me with a treehouse / climbing wall project. He used a hammer for the first time driving in T-Nuts and then placed all of the holds while I tightened them down. Last night we sat around the fire ring and roasted some marshmallows, with a big enough fire that the coal bed was plenty hot this morning to start burning some trash wood I wanted to get rid of.
My 22 mo was outside with us a lot of the time as well.
I did the "barn raising" by myself with a bit of help from my knowledge of physics (simple machines) and whitewater rescue (that is a throw bag in the picture. Eventually the climbing wall will be 12' taller and the treehouse will actually have multiple levels.
(The dot on my son's forehead is from a burnt stick he was playing with ... don't poke the bear!)

Re: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, all. Xrnut, you are right--we have a lot to be thankful for. Mike, looks like you had a great time and took advantage of the great Thanksgiving Day weather.
I enjoyed time with family and friends in Wichita. Heading back home in the morning.
