I went over to CZ this afternoon to check out the demo bikes. I was hoping to ride a 990 ADV and a 990 Super Enduro. Upon arrival there was alot of activity going on. I inquired about the demo rides and learned they had a 990 Adv' and a 690 S-Moto. I had to sign a waiver that said if I wrecked one I would have to give up an important body part or something like that. I took my chances.

My escort said whatever I did, I couldn't pass him. I reluctantly agreed and we're off, with me on the 990. I had ridden a 950 before and kind of knew what to expect. The 990 was sweet. smooth, powerful, and best of all, it had that super comfortable dirt bike ergonomics. The seat was comfy too. See, KTM can make a decent seat. Then I rode the 690. I understand this is the replacement for the old LC4 series motor. All I know is this thing would whip my old 620 like a red headed step child, and the motor was as smooth as the prom queen's thighs as well. It was stronger than a couple SXC625's I've ridden in the past. They had a 690 Enduro over there but it wasn't available for a demo.

It was cool to hang out & eat BBQ with the pro racers, Jerry M, Mike H, Greg R, and all those guys. Jay was taking some video. The Christini was neat to see.

KTM has some pretty tasty bikes, both street and dirt in their lineup. Hats off to the CZ guys for doing this. It was way cool. I need my ol' lady to get a 2nd job or win the lottery. I need one of those 990's.......

We had to go to Salina today and we passed a KTM Supermoto around JC. I wondered if it was cruising all the way over to T-town.
