Old Osawatomie railroad grade?

I was looking at a Kansas atlas and came across a old railroad grade on the map. Looks like it goes from Osawatomie to Council Grove. I'm thinking I read something on one of the bicycle web sites that part of this was setup for cycling / hiking. But, I'm not sure how much? Anyone know if any of it can be DS on? Or has anyone ridden it?

There are some geocaches along the grade that I have found. I had to park my bike and walk to them because there were either cables or gates across them along with signs stating "no motor vehicles".
