We had some bad storms last night and I hope everyone is okay. All is well in my neighborhood, near 45 highway and I-435.

We're okay here, but the roof is damaged. Lost a lot of shingles. Roof is about 11 years old, so I guess it was time. I know the house was rocking when it hit.
Hope everyone else is okay

OK here in the ICT. Pretty rough going for a bit though. Hail and wind mostly with blinding rain. I think I have a few shingles gone but no damage really. It looked like it snowed when the hail was done though.

Wife and I were startled out of bed at about 2:30 (or so) to the strongest wind and rain we've ever heard (and felt) hit the house. Without anything to compare it to, it sure seemed probable we were about to be hit by a tornado if not already in it. So we grabbed the baby and ran downstairs. Turned on the TV and the meteorologist was not even excited. He simply said, yeah, it looks like some strong winds could occur along this line....reported as much as 70 MPH.
So we figured, well, no tornado possibility and went back to bed. Next morning, we learn of houses destroyed just a mile from our home with 80+ MPH winds reported. My For Sale By Owner sign is gone from the front yard. My neighbor said he looked out his kitchen window during the storm and could not see our house---about 30 ft away.
Previously that evening, at about 8PM, the sirens went off. I turned on the TV to hear "a trained spotter is reporting tennis-ball sized hail in Riverside". Riverside is about 2 miles from my house with the storm heading directly my way. The garage is full of boxes and such as we are prepping to move--both vehicles in the driveway. Yikes! So I scrambled and actually got things arranged to get both vehicles inside....the hail never hit, but the rain dumped and the winds blew. Actually, at 2:30 AM, during the 80 MPH wind, some light hail hit us...but at 80MPH!
Glad to hear people are OK. Kevin, sorry about the roof damage...if you have a FSBO sign with my number on it impaled into your roof---it's not mine, but what a strange coincidence.
