I called and talked to Roger, and I think I heard Sandy in the background making sure he got the details right. They seemed like really nice people. He said his nephews are the guys that do all the riding and designed the place. It sounds like they are really trying to do this thing right.

They named the place Rally Point Ridge. It is located 13 miles north of Sabetha, KS.

Rally Point Ridge is 300 fenced acres with all kinds of terrain: woods, rocky bluffs, mud pits, flat trails, and even an MX track and a kids area. They have parking, tent and RV camping with fire rings. Camping is $10/day. No RV hookups or pads yet, but if your unit is self-contained, bring it.

They have a furnished cabin with A/C that sleeps 6 with a big fire pit in front. The cabin is $125/night for up to 4 people. $35 for each additional person.

ATV's and dirt bikes are welcome. Eventually, they may allow Jeeps, too.

He said, "This is not a state park. If people want to ride off trail, make their own trails, they are welcome to."

They plan to have fuel--including pre-mix--on site.

Daily fee is $25.00
Annual membership is $250.00
Family membership (up to 4 people) is $400.00

Next Saturday, May 3rd, 2008, they are having some special events including a Scavenger Hunt followed by a Poker Run. The Scavenger Hunt is from noon to 4pm with the Poker Run after that.

This sounds like a good place and only about 100 miles away. It is right in X-R Nut's backyard. I might be up for checking it out

$25. a day seems a bit pricey? Did they set it up with Quads or bikes inmind?

I used to live just north of there in Nebraska City. Probably less than 50 miles. Wish it was there when I lived in that area. I saw some nice land near the Oklahoma border in south Kansas on my drive back from Arkansas that would make a nice orv area. Just need to win a lottery or something to be able to buy that much land. That or get off the internet and get back to work

Well, it is setup for quads AND bikes. You know what this means---everything turns into quad trail. BUT, I'd rather ride quad trail than Kansas City pavement.

Pricey? Considering that we have Perry Lake within an hour and both Finger Lakes OHV and School Creek OHV within 2.5 hours, yeah, I suppose why pay $25 to ride at Rally Point Ridge? However, $25 for several hours of off-road riding is cheap in my book compared to other entertainment options. For example, I could pay $15 to "enjoy" 2 hours of a movie, a coke and a popcorn.

It really depends on how good it is. I'll go try it once for sure. If I really like it, I'll pay $25/day a few times a year to enjoy it.

Oh they did say that they are open weekends for sure, but weekdays they may be working on the place as they get this thing going, so just call ahead.

For the drive Walters Ranch is a hoot, and it's $10. all day. And its $10. for Chadwick per day. Don't get me wrong I love riding new places and I'll most likely go and try Neb. out.

Well, my oldest and I rode at RALLY POINT RIDGE yesterday for about 5 hours. We are now on a family membership! It took 15 minutes to get there, 15 minutes for load/unload-gearup and we were riding. Right now the trails are more aimed torwards quads, but with that said, they are still quite fun. We are able to go ANYWHERE on the property, so cutting/finding new lines will be part of the fun also. Ive talked with sandy about bringing my saw to help with clearing of trails, so that may be an option too. I can see myself spending alot of time up there, its just too close not too.

As far as the trails go, i think it would be a great place for the big bikes- gs's, adventures, etc. they can stay on the main trail that loops all the way around and zig-zags thru-out without any troubles. ive attached a pic of the propert, the highlighted lines are the main trails, there is a nice pond in the middle and plans to build a large moto-cross style track in one of the open pastures.

the top is east, and the black blob is the checkin building. directions are: on US75 hwy north, turn west onto ne709 county road(gravel) and go west to the "T" in the road(aprx 2miles) turn south aprox 1/2 mile riding area is on west side of road. i will try to get some gps coord on here soon.
