I am thinking of hauling my bike day after Christmas somewhere. I would have about a week, maybe 10 day to ride. I'm would not be camping. The 2 places I have considered:

1. I could visit my brother in San Antonio and then ride in that area or the TX Hill Country.
2. Haul to New Orleans and then ride to the mouth of the Mississippi and/or along the Gulf Coast.

Does anyone have any thoughts or other idea?

You need to wait to determine where the Jayhawks will be playing their bowl game. Sugar bowl then NOLA would be the place to go, but remember this area was hit by Katrina 2 years ago and might not be as interesting as it once was. Cotton bowl then Dallas/Fort Worth and ride down to see your brother. Then there is always Moab....

I believe Moab would be to cold that time of year. I'm thinking of going south.

The Jan 7th game would be GREAT!!

Most deffinently SA. Head over to Big Bend NP then maybe up to White Sands in NM. There is always Key West for New Years
