One Chance to Win - moto movie

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

One Chance to Win - moto movie

Post by troy »

Kware shared this with me, and I want to pass it along -- looks like another must-own movie. Should be available on DVD starting Nov 5, 2007.

The famous "Battle of New Orleans" as never told before!
The 500cc National Motocross Series of 1975 came down to the last moto of the last race with any one of five riders still able to win. A film was made about that series but was never released...until now.
So, Tim, you gonna open up the home theater and host a RideForum.NET movie night?! We promise to take our boots off. I'll bring popcorn. 8)

Man, this is back when the two stroke was king and you were lucky to have 6 inches of suspension travel. With names like Lackey, Distefano, Smith, Karsmakers, and Weinert it brings back a lot of memories. I hope Net Flicks gets it soon!

Well, my wife ordered me a copy of this from, metroracing.com. It came today, so now should I watch it alone or wait for a group viewing?

Well I tried to wait for a group viewing, but with all of this time stuck in the house, I watched it alone. WOW!!!!!
If you raced motocross in the seventies, or if you even rode a dirt bike in the seventies, this will become your all time favorite movie. The extra 50 minutes of interviews with these guys today, makes it even more meaningful. What a great history lesson. There's even a Kansas connection. the AMA National at Baldwin in 1975. There is no footage from this race, but it is mentioned several times.
Wish I had a copy of it last summer when I got these guys autographs at the AMA Hall of Fame.

I am ready to watch it again Troy, whenever you are ready. The best I can offer is a 52"

I am trying my best to forget about the Wathena incident, but you just can't let it go, can you?
