Motorcycle-related Links - Share 'em!
Posted: 10 Dec 2006 08:30
I'm going to build a motorcycle-related links tool that allows registered users to add links to various link categories. To seed this effort, I'm asking all of you to share the URLs to your favorite motorcycle-related websites. These can be dealers, clothing vendors, after-market parts distributors, other motorcycle forums, etc. With each URL you provide, please also provide a short description of the website to help me categorize it.
Also, until I compile these and develop the link sharing tool, this topic will serve as our links page.
I'll start.
Motorcycle Closeouts
http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/
This Kansas-City based vendor sells discounted motorcycle gear for all kinds of riding styles. In addition to the online store, they have a nice retail store on N. Oak in Kansas City's Northland.
Bike Bandit
http://www.bikebandit.com/
I use this site for ordering parts. (Mostly OEM parts is what I use them for.) The prices are good, but better than that is the full schematics they let you use to find the parts you need.
Adventure Rider
http://www.advrider.com/
The HUGE online community of adventure riders. CAUTION: Once you start reading the topics in their ride reports forum, you'll spend hours online! Also note that the 15 most recently active ride reports from advrider are listed right on the RideForum.NET index page!
Backroads Touring Kansas
http://www.backroadstouring.org/kansas/index.htm
The Kansas dualsport website and community that originally organized the dualsport mania in Kansas. The site has hundreds of photos of the Kansas landscape and ride events. Lots of useful information for Kansas dualsport riders.
