Need big bar clamp kit -- where?

Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Need big bar clamp kit -- where?

Post by troy »

I want to install "fat" bars on my DR350. I also want to raise the bars a little bit. The "perfect" solution seems to be the Tusk Universal Big Bar Clamp Kit, but it is back-ordered until late July! I'm trying to find another source or a comparable product. Any ideas? (Sorry the URL is so long which forces the page to be wide.)

Try tt-usa: http://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/searc ... Term=riser

An option ... although a bit of $$ unless somebody on here is a machinist ... would be to buy a normal riser and have the handlebar hole machined out (would it be strong enough after the metal was removed?) or buy a large diameter riser and shave off the nub that fits into the old handlebar recess (no issue with strength). Either way, $$.

What about finding a machinist to make a set out of stock metal?

Thanks for the tip Jim. I ordered those adapters and some bars from motosport.com. HOPEFULLY, they'll fit and solve my problems!

What about Emig in Grain Valley, MO? It is Jeff Emig's (kind of famous MXer's) dad and I've been told he does great work. That's about all I know about him. Anybody else....
