After almost 60 days of not being able to ride I went on a ride last night
I started off slow and didn't doing anything stupid like ride a wheelie past admiring on lookers
I'm happy to report no rib pain and I'm back in the saddle again!!!!!!
Now if I had only seen Chris's post last night I would be in Larryville on a ride. Well, it is 9:45 now so I would be helping Chris repair his broken muffler for the third time in two years

I had a really bad week at work and it was a great release. When do you think you will be back on the bike? How's the ankle doing? Getting any sleep? Okay I will stop with the questions.

If my bike was ridable, I'd go for a quick spin right now.
Getting better sleep now--some thanks to family that is here helping take care of Rachel.
Ankle still has 2 places that hurt--sometimes enough to bother me.
I think I need new throttle cables. I also may need to scrap the expensive bar mount/handguard system as it is not fitting well. I'm a little sick of dinking with the bike right now.

Tired of Dinking with the bike. Geeesh you should be in my garage this weekend. Put the Dakar on the lift fri. Pulled all the rear shock linkage and swing arm. Cleaned out all the bearings, regreased, put back to gether. Sat. Went an built a deck on the front of Uncles house. Sun (today) pulled the water pump and Clutch side cover. Replaced whole water pump. Put it all back together then just dove into checking the valves. All good there and dont need adjusted. In the processes of putting the valve cover back on. Found out that Throttle cable was frayed pretty bad near the carb. Need a new one of those I guess. All in a weekend of fun in the garage
Ok enough talk. Got to finish up the bike. Later.
