Birch
Re: Birch
Oh man I love watching those videos! This is why I'm always cautious when folks ask, "Is this a big bike ride?" It depends on your skill!
Chris throws that bike around like it's a tiny dirtbike. He lofts the front wheel effortlessly. I can't get my F800GS front wheel to come up no matter how hard I try, but I've seen videos of skilled riders pulling wheelies on it like it is nothing.
I have 1190R lust in a bad way....10, 9, 8, 7..... OK, I'm fine.

Yep, that is why you do invite your friends when you want to take teh big bike to those places
A couple of things, first he is riding some pretty aggressive narrow tires, not the TKC80 or other more dual sport tires that most of us run on our big bikes.
On the really gnarly stuff, it is interesting to see that they make a rut for him to go into so that the bike track straight. Things to remember for sure.
This is really impressive how he handles the wet stuff and the slippery rocks. Now it may help if you are not too worried about breaking stuff on the bike
Thanks for posting that video! My 1190 is going to suffer this weekend

Nothing like installing expensive, new suspension on an already very expensive motorcycle. Reminds me of all the fancy exhaust systems off of brand new Harleys just sitting in garages.Jengel451 wrote:Tuesday I fitted brand spanking new suspension front and rear on the 1190R. I hear ya, i'm still kinda pissed that they decided to go backwards with the rear shock. Getting rid of PDS on a heavier bike? What were they thinking?troy wrote:Nothing like installing expensive, new suspension on an already very expensive motorcycle. BTW, my new Konflict Stickers should look great in front of Starbucks though.
