Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

The Trail PAC

Post by troy »

I'm definitely not one to get into politics, but...there are a lot of organizations you can give your money to that are supposed to fight for our right to recreational off-road motorcycling. Blue Ribbon, AMA, etc. I donate to Blue Ribbon, and from what I understand, they are a worthy organization.

Several months ago I learned of The Trail PAC -- maybe old news to some of you. What I love about The Trail PAC is their rather simple mission. While other organizations focus on educating and persuading policy makers about off-road recreation in a somewhat vain attempt to get folks to change their mind and thus their vote, The Trail PAC's goal is to put trail-friendly politicians in office.

Which is easier:
A. Take a politician who is opposed to our off-road recreation and change his mind
B. Work to put off-road friendly politicians in office so the folks voting are on our side

The Trail PAC has determined that B is more effective, and unencumbered by facts, I have to agree. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

The Trail PAC was started by Don Amador, a life-long off-road enthusiast who has worked hard to defend our recreational rights for several decades.
