I just reserved 2 tickets. I had not heard of Gathr.Us before--pretty cool concept to get interesting movies here that don't necessarily have mass appeal. They put a hold on my card, but don't actually charge me for the tickets unless the tipping point is reached. Now that I've reserved 2 tickets, they still need 30 more to reach the tipping point. Come on guys!

Good news! The movie is a go! Some of us plan to get a burger at the Red Robin about 6:00 pm before the 7:30 showing.

Too bad it is falling in the middle of wheat harvest or I would have made the drive to KC, looks like a great movie!

If I'm not working, I'll plan on being there. Hopefully for dinner too.

It must be in the Palazzo's smallest theater, which makes sense I suppose. John Penton's niece lives in the metro and posted this:

Sold out now, according to the above link. Guess I won't be attending. Hard for us "on call" guys to make. If I'm off I may show up for dinner anyway.

Apparently the Palazzo moved the showing to a larger theater because there are now 74 seats available.

As of right now, 147 folks coming with 64 seats left. If you want to come to the movie tonight, you have to buy your ticket online through Gathr.

Some folks plan to eat dinner at the Red Robin next to the Palazzo 16 starting about 6:00. Hopefully be out on the patio.

Packed theater for a great story! I really enjoyed the John Penton story, which I did not know about before the film. Apparently he is largely responsible for getting KTM started in off-road motorcycles, the creation of Alpine Star motorcycle boots (marketed as part of the High Point brand), and Thor riding gear.

Just a little caveat about Montesa, and the ISDT. At the 1970 Six Day, Dutchman Jan Van der Hoek took home a Bronze Metal riding this Montesa King Scorpion. I don't know how many Kings were entered but this one was the only one to make the full 6 days. This photo is from the Montesa King Scorpion Face Book page started in Spain this year. 24 Members!!
