orange has kind of been my thing in the past but havent ruled out a klx ,xr or drz mild 4 stroke.
Yo! I've barely ridden the KLX as the weather turned crappy fast. It's a bit of a turd compared to the high-strung KTM's I'm used to, but it's an easy riding machine. I put a new-to-offroad friend on it and he putted around trails for hours without ever killing it...until he fell over at the edge of the creek, fell 8+ feet and broke 2 ribs. Doh!

I'd sell you my 99 KLX 300 for $1,000 as is. Runs good, but needs the forks rebuilt. The best deal ever on a dirt bike is that 99 KTM 300 EXC I got from you for $1,500. I (and a few friends) have had a ton of fun on that monster!

Glad to hear your still happy with the 300. Its defiantly a smile maker and a very good work out to control it. I really liked my 450 exc I had but replaced it with a v-strom that I can ride to work now thinking its time to get a cheaper dirt bike. Your klx is for sure priced right but I have also been looking at some of the smaller ktm 2 strokes or the older lc4's with this weather not in a hurry for sure.

I hadn't ridden my KLX since buying my RMZ beater trail bike until this past weekend. I took it for a ride on the trails. Its not as light, the suspensions not as good, the tires are no where near as knobby, and its not as powerful as the RMZ but man it is an awesome bike!

I don't have a trail bike at the moment.......... You still looking to move on from the KLX?

Troy, what you need is a nice vintage drum brake, dual shock bike like a 79 RM250 Suzuki! I have one that's AHRMA legal and ready to race! :D
