Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

I just returned from a week-long family vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. While meandering along the boardwalk in downtown Puerto Vallarta, I spotted 2 loaded, orange BMW GS's (800 & 650) parked outside a restaurant. I snapped a couple of photos then saw a man sitting on a short wall wearing riding pants and boots. Hmmm....

That's when I met Tad Haas & Gaila Guttierez. When I met them they had just completed over a year on the road! They have ridden all over Canada, the US, and Central America--all the way down to Panama. Now they are making their way back home to Washington.

The small world connection is that they took part in the GS Giant and BMW Rally in Arkansas & Missouri last year. They rode my routes down in AR and thanked me for them! Cool! 8)

This is very cool. It takes a lot of courage to step out of what seems like the security of day to day life.
