OK, so I've heard about this place for a couple years. It's primarily a horse trail riding outfit, but they open the trails to motorized use during winter. According to our own Rusty Jug (Todd), this coming weekend (Dec 1) is the start of the winter session. The ranch is apparently about 2 hours from my house in Overland Park.
They have about 1,000 acres, cabins, and can even offer steak dinners with large enough groups. (Todd cooks the steaks.)
So I want the full scoop! Todd and others who've been, please fill us in!
How much does it cost to ride?
Membership required?
Trail descriptions?
Any single-track?
Are the cabins decent?
Food & Gas options within 20 miles?
Found these (more on YouTube)

1. 10 bucks
2. No membership
3. Easy to very difficult sections, creek crossing, rocks and mud.
4. Tracks are marked with arrows in some section. 4 wheelers are not allowed
5. They have cabins that are beds/ electric only and ones that have the whole nine yards. They are avg cabins with no swanky furnishings. The restrooms and shower house are very good.
6. Gas/ food is 6 miles to Collins or 14 miles back to El Do. They are working on putting in a general store and fuel on property in the near future.
If you have been to Walters Ranch it's a lot like it with more trails cut, but fewer acres. Super nice lake to fish at also, they have some trails that are almost straight up, but they also have easy ways around those areas. I have 2 hills that I won't attempt,

We went there last year for the first time. No single track but decent riding for only being 1 1/2 - 2 hours away. For comparison, I would rate it much better than Perry but not nearly as good as Chadwick. The biggest problem with planning in advance is rain/snow. I've heard that after a rain it turns into a big mud pit and nearly impossible to ride. For sure worth riding a couple times per season!

There are some muddy areas in the bottoms, but the trails on top of hills are rocky and drain well. Top of hill dry, bottom of hill muddy, you must go through some mud to get to top of hill, I have never been rained out, but I have only been after a rain not the day of.
Now when the harescramble circuit comes and there are 175 bikes and it rained the day before, watch out it will become a mud mess with that many bikes. Been there done that!

The big smooth rock is moon rock, it's one that I chickened out on! The bottom video shows 2 of the 3 toughest sections of the trails, those are the ones marked for expert for the scrambles. I like to ride those and skip out on those 2 spots, if I get in shape by next summer, then when they do a 2 week open in Aug I might give it a shot!
