KDX 200...
So, I found a small cheap dirtbike. I am going to go look at this tonight. Anyone have any terrible stories about a kdx 200? This is a 99 but I am only looking at giving 1000 and it appears to be in good shape.

Re: KDX 200...
I've never ridden one but still want one. I hear they're awesome trail bikes. Just know that the frames can't handle "airing it out" and the stock syspension isn't the best. Put some $$ in the syspension and you should be good to go.
Ahhh, pre-mix!!

Re: KDX 200...
They are great bikes and it looks like you got a clean one. I have had several over the years. The suspension is fine for trail riding but I wouldn't want to motorcross one as it is on the soft side (I'm 6' & 200 pounds). They are the same from 96 to 06 as just the color combos changed. They are bullet proof as well. Never had a problem with mine besides the known issues with Japanese bike like cheap soft metal on the handlebars, sub frame, etc.... I have two KTM's as well and even though I do prefer to drive the KTM I don't feel like I am on a POS when on occasion I would have to take the KDX instead of the KTM.
Congrats. You will be happy with it.

Re: KDX 200...
Congrats, Nick! If you picked that up around $1,000, that looks awesome to me! I'm in the same boat--looking for a low-cost dirt-bike to play on.
Truth is, any piece of crap that runs well enough to let you go play on trails is better than sitting at home or playing golf.

It seems to run well. Jessie rode it in the yard tonight. I can't wait to get out and try it on the trails! I hope you find a new toy of your own Troy.
