Woodsen co. secrets

Its Saturday night and I want to go riding tomorrow …but where….its too late to call someone and see if they want to or can ride. To late Saturday night to make a route , and for me that is pretty late, I think Woodsen county might be worth a try. Since I was up late I didn’t get an start early either but I got the chores done, made a route ,gathered ,gear ,snacks ,water , checked the bike over and I’m off.
I discovered Woodsen to be very senic and diverse changing from hill pasture to river valleys quickly. There were many high points along the way that offered beautiful vistas to view the country side for miles. It seemed like saw and rode on more than an average number of dirt roads for most counties.
I passed through Neosho Falls, Virgil, Buffalo, and Piqua. I also went through a couple other small places that I haven’t identified. At one point I was only 5 miles from Chanute and saw Humbolt and Toronto from a distance also.
The ride totaled 163 miles and took 6 hours. What a fun afternoon.
