I FINALLY got the ole KLX out for a ride Friday. I hadn't taken it out for a nice long DS ride since last summer. She needed to get out and stretch her legs.
Strapped on the gopro, gps, and backpack with cold water and tools I didn't use and took off early in the morning.
Pretty much every road I hit I've never been on so I had a blast!
"New" roads + new pipe = FUN
Obviously it's better if you go to utube and watch in HD

				Looks like fun, nice vid!
How do you like your mirror? Is it a "dual star"?

I've discovered that you carry tools as good luck charms. If you have them and are prepared nothing happens. If you do not have them not only you have a flat and fouled plug but your riding buddies suffer mechanical gremlins as well.

				Thank you.
It's just a cheap MSR dual sport mirror. They suck standing up like most do. Before I threw it away I tried tucking it up under the bar. Vibrates a little more than most stock mirrors, but works good for a barely legal bike.

I was riding alone on my 990 near Rio Grande Lake about 40 miles from Creede, Co Friday and got my first middle of nowhere flat. Of course I had all of the tools to fix but no spare rear tube (only a front, somehow forgot the rear at home... duh) only patches. Luckily it was patchable. There was absolutely no cell service for miles and it had just started to rain. I got her patched and back on the road in about 45 minutes. In that time not a single person passed me. It made me realize that I can't forget all of the gear next time. I might still be there if the tube wasn't patchable.

For what it's worth, I only carry a front tube with me. They will work in a rear as well as a front, unlike a rear tube that will not work in both. You still made the right decision using the patch since it worked though.

Yeah I have heard that as well but I have never tried it. Of course I would of if the patch had not worked. I was about 65 miles from my camp so I wouldn't have had any other choice. Actually the front was a 21" for my 300. So not ideal any way you look at it.
