I truly feel your pain.
Years ago, before I had a pet, I couldn't figure out the strong bond people and had with an animal. Suffice it to say that two pets / companions came into my life (both have now exited) that changed my heart.
Go do a few jumps on that track of yours to get a smile. Think of the good times!

That's a bummer, sorry to hear it. We had to put our Boxer down a couple months ago. I especially miss her when outdoors.
