Vintage Dual Sport Riding

I started riding Dual Sport bikes in 1969, and re kindled my love for that style of riding in 2008 on modern bikes.
I am in the process of restoring a reliable 70's vintage dual sport with the intention of riding it actively with other like minded riders.

If you have an interest in riding your vintage dual sport on an organized ride, or riding your modern bike along with vintage bikes for that matter........... post your thoughts here.

There are Vintage events all over the country, and I would love to see more in the Kansas City vicinity. :D

Bob if you check out the Ride section of the forum you will find the posted rides. For instance there is one this weekend from Topeka to Lawrence and there is a ride scheduled for the MLK weekend to look at birds or something :D I know they would love to have a vintage bike along for the ride.

Heck if you want to put together a ride I know people would be interested.

Hank, I'm just now getting serious about tagging one of my Montesas and unless we have a very mild winter it may be Spring before I can commit to a very long ride.
The bike in the photo has a Close Ratio MX motor in it now but I have a Wide Ratio enduro motor ready to go on the shelf. Some DOT tires will be in order too.

I just felt like getting a vintage bike dialog started to see what kind of interest was out there.
