Pull up a couch. It's cool in the Lounge. Just remember to be a good neighbor.

Vintage bike show in Paxico this Saturday

Post by Harvey Mushman »

I received this e-mail from a friend recently. The old bike show may be pretty neat if anyones interested, plus you could ride the good unmaintained roads in the Alma/Eskridge/Paxico area the same day. -Harv

Subject: Vintage Bike show in Paxico

Hey everybody, I'm passing this along from Fred Brown in Wamego. He's sponsoring a bike show in conjunction with the car show in Paxico on June 25th. This a vintage only show so if you have something pre-70, Asian, European, American please consider entering it.If not just come out for the show. Those of you who don't know Fred he owns the Chevy dealership in Wamego and has been a long time motocross racer and bike rider.

I rode up there on my street bike hoping to see some old MX/2 stroke/race bike stuff but as you probably saw, there was none of that. Oh well, the weather was great and it was a good day to go for a ride.

Were you there when the guy rolled his not-show-quality sportster off the trailer, started it up and kept cracking the pipes trying to get attention, rode it about 20' feet, whacked the throttle some more and then turned it off? That was awesome. FAIL
The coolest vintage bike was the Schwinn.
