I used to go there a bunch. Deepwater and Perry Lake are both basically 60 miles from house and I would go to Perry every time. It is comparable to Perry but with more quad damage. It is fun (and free) for a few hours if you are in the vicinity but there is definitely better riding in area.

It is one of those places where the quads have really "honeycombed" the trails so you can almost go anywhere. This sucks because it makes it hard to follow another rider around since you are always taking different turns and always getting separated. Not a lot of elevation change but there is a few smaller hills. The area over by the lake in the ADV ride report is no longer ride able. If I remember right they banned crossing the road to the lake side several years back. Not sure how many acres are there but I would guess from memory that it is comparable to Perry in size.

I drowned my bike in one of the Deepwater green slime\mud holes on a Sunday evening several years back and I couldn't get it restarted. Just hit a submerged log or something and was instantly face first in the water. After trying to restart it I ended up having my cousin tow me the mile or so back to the parking lot and we loaded up and left right about dark. We were leaving for a week in Cacun the next morning bright and early so I stayed up late flushing the engine and carb. I can only imagine what it would be like to clean after sitting for a week. I haven't been back since. This incident may have soured me to the area as it is somewhat hard to get around without hitting a mud hiole.
