Anything challenging? I'm tired of riding allt he concrete here in Olathe, and the gravel roads around here are maintained way too well for my liking

Regarding Perry, it's great riding. I mean everything is relative, right? If it was more than 1 hour away, I'd say forget it and go to School Creek at Milford Lake. But Perry is close, and that is attractive. The only problem I have with Perry is that it is crowded. But, in the few times I've been there, the crowd was ATV's and they stayed out in the more open area outside the parking lot. If you get back in deep across the creek, you don't see many people even when the parking lot is full.

KLR -- sure that's a big bike for those tight woods trails with some steep, muddy climbs. However, I know guys who win Enduro races through nastier stuff on KLRs, so if you got the skill, go for it. If you don't have major skills, there's still plenty of stuff to enjoy in those trails on a KLR. Put it this way, if I did not own my KTM 450 and had my old KLR back, I'd go ride it at any trail system (and have)---just slower and would avoid the really tough stuff.
