Again this year, the local 2013 Dakar participants, Mike Stanfield, Luis Belaustegui and Scott Spears, will be telling their story of the 2013 Dakar at the May TAR meeting. Luis completed the rally on the smallest bike in the field, a KTM 150 two stroke!

Freedom will be providing pizza and so just bring what you want to drink.

When: May 7th at 6:30.

Enter from the service entrance which is on the south side of the building.

What: The Dakar participants will tell of their experiences and answer questions. They will also have a tour of the 2013 Dakar truck and bikes.

I should be there too. I was talking to Luis about it yesterday when he came to my house to buy my tank bag that I had for sale on CL. Talk about a small world! He got out of his car and I said "I know you from somewhere" and then it dawned on me that he was one of the Dakar guys!

Should be a good time!

I bet they didn't ride through a river as long or wide as the Big Piney. Or, have a bike get washed away in the current.
