Pretty fun day and the rain always missed us. We could see rain most of the day somewhere else
Todd did really well on Box Turtle. Box Turtle is open again. The 'hill' is gone and so is that deep rut stretch. Its still a handful. There is more rocks now from the crews busting up some of the hills. Still the most difficult road in that area.
We got to do some rock filled water crossings early which where nice. Didn't get a chance to check out how rutted Carlson was getting (or nice gravel yuck). I was getting tired and went east to Burlingame.

alma basecamp export
I'd make sure and put this in some folder away from your normal stuff.
East Alma - the area east of Alma via Skyline to 4. Those roads have been redone. Still rough but not as. Ruts have been scraped.
West Alma - (177-4-99-70 hiway box) pretty much never changes.
The min maint flags below 4-99 North South road line are mostly Google Earth, not my tags. The others above that are mine. I have ridden some of those south roads but not as many as I have marked and they change more south of that line than above it. You'll find really rough roads one year and a gravel hiway next.
4-335-99 Triangle - I don't know what to call this area..'Wilderness'? Most of the roads in the really don't change. Carlson was getting really fun last year (as in great places for bike naps) with hordes of deep ruts and crevices.
I have not done those two tracks that swing way to the west of the area with flags.
I have ridden every road in the flagged area north of 4-99 many times, and some parts south of it.
here you go, don't blame me if you don't like my tracks or tear up your bike on them...

I never have any idea where we are. Andy just checks to make sure I'm still upright before he's off again. Nice to see where we went.
