Another Bird Farm ride

Post by bird man »

If there is any interest in another ride at the Bird farm, I am open to having another one this fall. The woods and trails are fantastic right now. It is just fun to be in the woods in the fall especially on a cycle. I am pretty open to dates for a ride so if any of you as a group or individually want to come ride just post a date you would like to come and we will set something up. In the meantime I am enjoying them. Troy need something for his calendar so we should set up a ride to put on it. :D

Your generosity is very much appreciated, Larry!

For those of you who don't know, Larry has created approximately 5 miles of single-track on his pheasant farm. The trails are smooth with barely a rock in sight. This is rare for any off-road trails anywhere around KS or MO. This makes the trails very friendly for new riders and kids on smaller bikes.

The trails are in woods along a sometimes dry creek that offers opportunities for more excitement when desired.

In addition to the trails, the farm has sufficient open, smooth grass areas for brand new riders learning the basics.

The trails are designed for dirt bikes, but riders on larger ADV machines could use the trails to work on their slow skills in tight conditions.

The trails would be a lot of fun on a mountain bike for those that prefer a better workout.

Larry,

Your farm sounds awesome, and I for one would welcome the opportunity to ride the trails and work on my slow speed big ADV bike skills. I am new to the ADV scene and one thing I did not realize is just how little public riding space there is in Kansas, especially areas suited for bigger dual-sport bikes. I thank you in advance for offering the invitation and the opportunity to ride on your trails.

Name the day and I'm there.

Scott.
