Last year after a few attempts to find interesting roads in north Lake of the Ozarks, and not finding anything worth riding too, I was a bit bummed. I returned to the area Sunday to try a new set of roads. Much better! No gravel on most, just dirt & mud ( & hills as you get down there).
Richland Creek on Dove Road. The track from Sedalia to Stover was ok. Some creeks & hills. Prefect for a beginner. Not much gravel at all.
The whole course is probably 150 miles of gravel, 200 paved, Lees Summit and back. I only got started at 11am so had to stop at the mid point and go home. The last part from Cole Camp to home has some mm roads, but not much. The route starts just south of Sedalia on M and the first few roads until Schlobohm are boring but avoid pavement.
Just south of Stover: This area is what was interesting. Coon Camp, Sawmill, Richie, Locust!, McCasland. Probably 15+ streams and lots of hills. Locust was just a series of low land crossings, not a road if the water was up for sure, in the middle it would be a series of islands. Big Bike friendly, unless water is up. I did not stop for a pic in there, worried the bike wouldn't stay up in the muck.
Have to see about heading down there next weekend, I got a series of loops to try to hit every road in the area that I have not hit before ( most of the stuff I have hit before was well graded & graveled and boring - like Big Buffalo).
