It was until I got a flat tire!
Sorry didn't see your post earlier would have pinged you. Very nice mm roads up near Holton and valley falls. Dry most were a bit boring flat dirt but allot of the cross roads were nice and rough.

A few. Anderson was pretty tame when dry. The best, at least before the nail, was the side roads off bourbon. 238th between Allen's and Anderson was very rough. Luckily I got the nail in there and was riding hard to get out, I was going to stop and take a pic but was worried about going again, it's like a vertical creek bed in there. Gnarly road, great spot for the unexpected camping trip. But it does pop out right in this nice guys drive way, who had bottled water and like to talk about motorcycles. Cell service at the cemetery a block away. You can really ride around on k60s even flat up hill on logging roads. We need to head back up there!

Where will you be riding on Saturday? I am definitely an amateur off road rider. But, I would definitely ride along if you want someone to join you. 2012 Super Tenere.

Box Turtle has gotten a bit worse - going down was not going to happen for us two nobs. Its got a like 2ft gulley in the hole there now running sideways down it with rather steep sides at the top. Going up maybe, but not down, at least not me. The whole rest of the road was great. The southern entrance has been graded but the rest is not. All of the rest of the two track up off Skyline was a great time. Dawson had some maint done for erosion, stone walls and what not (maybe that was Christie, idk) but no road work done that I could tell. Christie still has at least one really deep hole right in the road, just for those riding faster than they can see.
If you want another road that is even harder, try Carlson going south from Dover to Harleyville Rd (117St?) It gets progressively nastier until we relented and I broke my turn signal lens. But then we had already done 120 miles of MM&gravel up off Skyline so we were pretty darn beat and turned off at the last road east prior to Harleyville (the usual "I think we are almost done with the hard stuff" was not working for either of us). Wouldn't do that wet tho, not much rock and its hilly/rutted. You know they will grade that sucker soon, probably, if your interested check it out.

All,
A huge thank you to Creekside for taking me on my first real off road adventure. I discovered that a Super Tenere can actually do a lot more than I thought it would. I was slow, and very cautious, but it was great. Thank goodness for a very patient riding partner.
You guys are great,
Dave

Dave got some. I used my wife's older camera instead of my phone like normal, but my card reader is busted.
I don't know Dave's schedule but we might be back out there again later, or up by Osk/Holton/Kickapoo where I took that nap in the cemetery waiting for my wife to come get my a$$ with the flat. We should drag you and Bob along & there was others interested in seeing that area - let Dave see some more exp'd riders.
