Sat March 29: Perry Lake

For what it's worth (about nothing)...

There is a possibility I'll play on the Perry Lake trails for a bit this coming Saturday. I expect my KTM 450 EXC to be ready for pickup from CycleZone in Topeka. (They performed a bit of a refresh on it.) It would be prudent for me to take her for at least a couple laps before taking her down to Arkansas for 3.5 days of abuse.

It depends on if they wrap up the work on my bike, how much it rains today and tomorrow, and my schedule in general. If it works out, I imagine getting to the trails around 12:30. I'll update here if it looks like I'm going.

If the rain holds off, i'll probly be at Perry saturday afternoon. They wife has a baby shower to go to in Topeka on Saturday so I might tag along and drop her off, then head to Perry just after lunch

I expect to be at Perry before noon and ride for a couple hours. I'm bringing a buddy who'll be on my 99 KLX 300 turd.....that is for sale mind you, so it's a VERY nice turd.

Should be pretty noticeable in my bright yellow sweatshirt or t shirt, i'll be looking like one of those hicks that doesn't belong on an orange bike
So far it's looked like the rain has held off, or at least the radar has looked like nothing heavy has gone through today.

Cool. Mine is a white 2011 Supercrew F-150. Orange 2007 KTM 450 EXC and a green 99 KLX 300. Look for the guy with amazing skills.

Thought i did ok, i only ate it once, and was after troy's group left. Had a good time though

The turd did just fine and was promptly sold on craigslist the next day. Good riddance.

Daniel, it was really nice meeting you and Lane. Lane impressed the heck out of me riding up that skinny climb and jumping the tree at the top. Yikes! Glad to hear you are planning to come help next Sunday!
