KC Area Ride - 4/13 or 4/14 or Both!

I'm gonna ride at least one, if the parts get here in time I'm gonna work on the husky one of the days, or both days this weekend. Does anybody else want to go? On my own it will likely be gravel roads north and west of Weston, but I don't really care where. I might even be up for a longer run into the ozarks.
I'll be riding the big bike if that matters.

I might be up for a single day ride in the area. The weather is looking nice. Post up details when you get them worked out.

Instead of sitting on the beach, you could grab a ferry to Baja. I hear there are a few good places to ride in that part of the world.

Ok, I'll see if I can get a little more organized. Likely it will be one of the rides out of Leavenworth, gravel, min maintenance, ect. Good for a day out of the house.

Put me down for a maybe. I was originally planning on going to Chadwick this weekend to ride, but I still haven't gotten caught up at home from last weekend's WUDI ride in Arkansas. I've decided to stick around a little more local this weekend to get some things done at home, but I might be up for a day ride either Saturday or Sunday.
I'll keep an eye on this thread to see what the plan is.

Looks like it's gonna be cold Saturday morning, but will warm up to near 60. How about this for a plan?
Saturday, April 13 meet at the Sante Fe Depot,
http://www.santafedepotdiner.com, in Leavenworth. Kickstands up at 10am. I'll be there by 9am if you want to join me for breakfast.
Here is a route Troy put together about a year ago that is a pretty nice gravel/day ride. This is what we will ride unless...
a. I have some time to put something else together.
b. Someone else has a better plan.
c. Someone says they would rather go further north, though I'm wondering how muddy the loess hills are about now.

That really is a great little ride. It's not very long, but I was surprised how good the roads and scenery were. It includes a couple of sections or 3 that could be a mess if it is wet.

The river road would be a muddy mess in some sections given the amount of rain we have had. Good luck and wish I could join you, but.......

Well, I think I'm on my own so I'm gonna wait until lunch to head out. I want to try to get some work done in the am.
I'll check this thread in the am, so post up if anyone wants to go.

Did you end up getting out, Chris? I decided Saturday morning to go get the oil changed in my truck in Lawrence and decided to throw the mountain bikes on the rack to do some riding at the Lawrence River Trails while I was in the area. That took most of the day and when I got home a buddy called and talked me into a last-minute trip to Chadwick on Sunday.
I was curious if the roads out around there were the muddy mess that I was assuming they might be. It seems like things are drying out a little bit slowly with the cooler temps and continuing rain. Not that I am complaining! If it's too muddy around here, I can always head south to go ride in the rocks of southern Missouri and northern Arkansas.

Hi Kendall, I got distracted and the only ride I did was to Smithville to get one of the bikes inspected. That was on asphalt so I can't say what the mud situation is like around here. Might get out for a bit this weekend, I'll have the husky running later this week and will need to test ride it.
