This isn't a bad little show and helps shake the cabin fever. Nice little swap along with it too.

Goofy day for it - Super Bowl.
How many bikes do they usually have?

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw this, but the Superbowl kickoff isn't until 5:30 CST. I'm thinking about going.

I'm telling myself I'm going to get up early on Sunday, and haul a vintage dual sport bike to the show.
I am inviting the members of Ride Forum.Net to come out and Vote For My Bike!
I doubt I'll win anything, but it would be fun to give the local pirates a run for their money!
Here is my entry..........

If I'm not at work, I'm planning on heading that way on my TU. It may be a bit cool on the way there, but should be a nice ride home. I'll probably be the only one on a TU.
No airplane tomorrow.

Cool Experimental! Did you build it?

No it's not mine. It is a friend of mine. He retired from GM and built it from scratch (no kit) in 5 months. It is powered by 1/2 of a VW engine. He has over 500 hours in it. He flew it to Oshkosh and back last year. It is technically an ultralight, so no license ect. It was featured in Kitplanes last year, I think. I haven't flown it, but I did some "fast" taxiing up and down the runway. I was very tempted to take it around the patch. It is a Hummel UltraCruiser.
I guess that's the best pic I have handy. I have more on my other computer.
Sorry for the thread hijack, but I enjoy aircraft as much as motorcycles. Motorcycles are cheaper though.

Congrats Bob, it looks like my vote counted for something. I stayed around for a while, but left fairly early. Bobs display was more complete than most of the other entries. Most were just a bike and an entry sheet. I did manage to put 115 miles on the TU.

It was a fun day. I talked to a lot of people, met some other Montesa fans, and explained what the Hell a Montesa was to a whole bunch more. I have a few hours invested in this bike, but the transformation was well worth it. Here is the photo of the bike, as it was listed on craigslist, before I bought it.
I left home wearing a short sleeve shirt in October, and by the time I got to Denver, after dark, I was in a full blown blizzard. I-70 was a sheet of ice when I woke up in my motel room the next morning. I spun completely out... truck, trailer, and all.... once, but didn't go in the ditch or hit anything.

Good job Bob . What a transformation you made on that bike. After seeing those pics of the show I wish I had made the effort to go.
