The end point on the map link I posted is Larrys house exactly. That's where you want to park.

Use the coordinates the address on google for some reason put you in the wrong place.
9 AM will be a good start time . If you are inclined to arrive earlier that is ok I will be here and can show you around.

There is no reason why I cannot go. Might not be a lot more chance this year. Troy if you are riding alone I got no problem car pooling, however with it being about an hours drive might be more trouble than it is worth to load the bike up twice.

Agreed. We live a long way from each other and not on the way. Consider loading up both your 300 and 950 for the road. I'm bringing my 450 and 300.

Glad you are coming!

I don't have any pictures but the weather turned out fine. Rode trails till lunch time and hit the roads after.

My 990 wouldn't start like it had a bad battery and we couldn't jump it. So I drove Dina's bike. The orange crush consensus thinks it is a bad battery. So after the chiefs game I am gonna pull the battery and try to jump it without.

Thanks Larry.
Jim

I didn't take any photos either, but Larry got a few and a video of us zipping along in the dry creek. I'm sure he'll share them when he figures out how to get the video online! :)

According to Larry's bike, we did 20 miles of trail riding before heading to lunch. That's a lot of zipping around! Then, after loaning Jim a bike, Larry led us to Leroy for lunch. 7" wheat crust 3 topping pizza for $2.99. Good stuff! Larry knows the good roads in the area.

When we got back to the farm after lunch, most loaded up to head home, but Larry & I went and rode about 4 more miles of trails. I had a blast!

Also, it was nice to meet Todd (Rusty Jug). Todd had to cook steaks for a gig in the afternoon, so he loaded up and headed home when the rest of us headed to lunch.

THANKS, Larry!

I had a great time, but bum I forgot my riding boots, all I could think of was jacking my ankle, everytime I twisted throttle my road tires would spin out on the wet clover. I had no confidence in my tires or any traction, this day made my world of cycling change! My dirt bike will never see road tires again, period! :)

Besides that it was a fun ride to meet people who enjoy biking!

Next trip you guys are coming to Eagle ranch! They open this next weekend

Todd what tires were you running on your CRF?

 Shitty Shinko they are very crappy on any kind of moist dirt! Great for gravel and payment! But not trail, if you get into any kind of mud or puddle, they pack. They are strictly gravel and highway tires, they look good and perform well on pavement and dry dirt roads. Great if you live in a dry area.

I just put theses tires on, less than 500 miles but never really went off-roading until saturday, well I love to ride trails and Eagle Ranch opens next weekend so I always ride there and that is 1,200 acres of rock/mud so this week I will put knobs back on, for good! Period!!!

I could not play in the creek bed because I would just set and spin, also I started spinning in wet grass/clover on a slight incline had to push with my feet to get it to start moving! I never did that on my knobs! Grr!! The tires made me feel very insecure off road but great on pavement!

Try as I might I still can't get a photo to imbed ,I even read the instructions. So here is the link to the pics I took and one vid of the group having a good time. Was to busy having fun to remember to take more pics sorry.

https://picasaweb.google.com/1083940044 ... aDQgZPQ8QE#

Turns out riding trails early while it was cooler then to lunch later when it warmed a little was a good plan. I don't think any one got cold. Usually I am riding by myself or leading, since Troy has been here enough to learn the layout it was a special treat to have him lead and ride someone else's version of fun. By the way I am going to cut that low log over the creek out of the way ,Bonked my head on it last eve (trying to keep up with Troy). Its what helments are for right. :)
Was great to ride and share a day with new and old friends.
