I can't go, and I only know spotty details, but I want to post at least this information for those that can do this ride--it's a great area to dualsport!
Over in the AdvRider Kansas Riders thread, they are discussing a dualsport camping weekend in the Gypsum Hills. I think it is planned for the Oct 13 weekend, but I don't have the patience to read pages and pages of discussion to find the exact details. I spent more than 5 minutes searching and scrolling and reading and kind of gave up...but...if you want to go, I'm sure you can join the discussion there and learn the details.

katbeanz posted this GPS file--which may be the planned route for the weekend.

Re: KS Gypsum Hills Camp & Ride
It is planned for Oct. 12-14.
The area is a great place to ride. It looks to be a pretty large group.

Troy, those are my tracks from 08? and 09, clumsily combined, where the grid pattern roads end. Fuel in Med Lodge and Coldwater, Buster's in Sun CIty is food only AFAIK.

Buster's is a cool place!
Re: KS Gypsum Hills Camp & Ride
I've been told a couple from Florida bought it and scrubbed all the patina off. I did run across a story about the original owner, Buster Hathaway who ran it for 45yrs, he passed away in 1996.troy wrote:Buster's is a cool place!
I found another track to add.
