Randy,

Take a couple of IBProfen and come on out! This is going to be an easy ride. The weather looks pretty good -- NOAA says:

"Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. South wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday: A chance of drizzle, then a slight chance of rain after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 54. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%."

We can deal with that. Drizzle might actually settle the dust some. It sounds as if the rain is holding off until later in the afternoon.

I'm not going to make it today, so don't wait for me. Stu, I'm still VERY interested in joining and maybe I can try it out another day.

Thanks, Daryl

I had a lot of fun riding with you guys today. I've been thinking about doing a hare scramble there this year. It is a great place to ride. Do any of you that were there today race there? How did u guys do at your races?

Harv and I won our class in the 3 hour team race at Big Springs (BS). I raced the hare scramble and the Best of KS last May (Memorial Day weekend). All were fun and all were challenging, especially the mud in May.

Thanks for the ride yesterday Stu, that was alot of fun with a great group of guys. Crazy525; I've raced there 3 or 4x in the FMHS series, once was the team race with Stu last year. I've always done well at BS primarily because it's the type of terrain/track I like to ride, meaning, It flows really well, and isn't just a 1st/2nd gear only track. You would do fine there in the 2012 FMHS race. Since you have never raced before, you could race in the 900 Trailrider class and at your speed, I'd bet $$ you'd get on the podium, (take home a cheap plastic trophy  ). Bring some baling wire with you so you could tie your trophy to your handlebars like Marlon Brando did in the movie "The Wild Ones" and ride home like that. LMAO! Another track that is very similar to BS is Melvern, That's on the schedule and you'd like it too.

Take care all

I need to pay more attention to these forum..... I have a 2010 530EXC sitting in the garage that needs ridden badly. Are there any other off-road orinated dual sport people in Lawrence.

Gary,

I need to pay more attention as well. I have a 525 EXC that mostly is a garage queen since I ride my new 300 so much. It needs to get out as well. And I am also in Lawrence not far from Wakarusa and Harvard. The guy up the street from me has a 525 MXC that is also plated (as is mine) and he rides with us at Bender's place when he can. We both ride around Lawrence some on these bikes. You may have seen us.
