Harvey,

I missed your post or I would have been there. I went out Thursday for a couple of hours. On Friday I went to a hare scrambles 8+ mile track and ran some loops with two other guys. So I was out riding.

When it gets up to about 40 again I'll let you know so we can get out at Perry!

41 on Sun. What about that? It looks good to me. It got up to 40 today at 3 so I rushed out to wash the 300. At 4 it had dropped. At 5 it was down to 33. Ice on the drive. But the bike is clean so I can service it and clean the carb. I should be ready by Sun.

Harvey,

Beau Barrick and I will be out at Perry Sunday at about 1:30. We will have to leave at 3:30 as well. Look for my white Nissan pickup with the 2 KTMs (250 & 300). After 3:30 the sun is low enough that it gets difficult to see when you are heading west and the dust will not improve that.

I'll be there between 12 and 1PM, silver Dodge Dakota. May bring another rider or two. See you then.

We will look for you. We might get there about 1:45 since I have a meeting at 11:30. I have to fire the bike today and see if it is running OK. After washing it the pilot circuit seemed to be plugged. I cleaned the carb and will have to see if that worked. If not a fast trip to Letko is in order for another pilot jet. Small grains of sand are hard to clean out.

I finished deer hunting this morning so I was figuring on meeting you at Perry but now there is an inch of snow on the ground and more falling. What's it like down there?

I just checked the weather. There is a 30% chance of snow tonight and a 20% chance of snow tomorrow, which is not much. The high tomorrow is going o be 43~45 so it will still be a great day to ride. Drag that poor beat-to-death Honda out of the garage and bring it down here, Rick! We should have a great time.

There is no snow on the ground at all in Topeka, a 10% chance for today, and a forcasted high of 45 degrees. It will be a perfect day to be in the woods.

Harv,

You are one fast dude. A good ride yesterday. Thanks for coming over!

Rick,

We were there until 4:30 and it was between 49 and 50 degrees. Just great. Sorry you did not make it. We have snow and the dreaded wintery mix coming in Thursday so most riding here will be very limited until the end of Feb., I suspect. I do intend to try to get out today and beat up on the trails a bit more.

Thanks Stu, that was alot of fun. We were hittin' a pretty serious lick the last 45 minutes or so of the ride. Good thing the quads stayed out of our way. Earlier in the day when we got seperated once, I fell in with the group that had the new KTM350SX. There was a girl on a new KTM 2 stroke last in the group and I got in behind her. She wasn't real fast but she could get over/under/through all the lines the guys ahead of her took. She was pretty smooth too. Hat's off to her. As long as it's 35+ degrees, reasonably dry and fairly calm winds, I'll ride on the weekends. Post up if you want to go again sometime. Everybody take care and have a Merry Christmas.

We were at Perry again on the 6th. Some ice and crashing but otherwise a great time. It loos as if we are going to be out of there for a while with the 100% chance of snow tonight (the 9th). I'll let you know when we are heading out there again.

Myself, Dan and Shawn rode for almost 2 hours at Perry on 1.2.11. we hit it hard for an hour 45 then the ground started thawing and it got pretty slick so we put them on the trailer. It was a good traning day. I hope it clears and drys up by 2.13.11, that's the Massacre date at Jeeps.

2.13.11? That is soooo far in the future that the weather could be anything. One of the joys of running the massacre. I've done it a lot. Sometimes were more fun than others.
