Troy I have professional photo equipment if your still looking for a photographer. I'll bring it along, with the other stuff. Has a plan for lunch been figured out yet? Let me know what I can do. Also, anyone want to carpool? I'll be leaving from Lee's Summit. I should have an open seat or two.

Re: V strom skid plate
I have the SW Motec on my 07. I have no complaints. It has more than paid for itself. I can change the oil without removing it, however it think its easier to remove it. I think only the front two bolts have to be removed and it will swing out of the way. But it's only four bits to remove it complet...

Re: School Creek Trail Maintenance Day
I'll give my standard reply. I'd love to help. However working on call may interupt. I have a trimmer, loppers, and a chainsaw that needs a tune up. How about carpooling ect? Also, I'm pretty good with a grill and I'm willing to help in that way too. Maybe a vacation day is in order. I may also be a...

I've already committed to being somewhere on the 18 & 19th. I should have looked at my schedule better and would have seen which weekend this was. Maybe I'll ride out with you until lunch and skip out and be home Friday evening. I was looking forward to this.

I'd be up for a lesson on lightweight dual sporting. I guess the only way I know is the bring way too much stuff, even though I thought I packed light method. I'm trying to think of a suitable place, but nothing comes to mind.

Re: Fall TARkansas ride
Wow, what a great weekend. I would like to thank everyone for helping keep me and the wide load drz in the proper orientation. We made it home safely and without incident. I think I took at least 200 pictures, but haven't had a chance to see if they are any good. I'll post some soon. If anyone has a...

Troy, I'm not able to import your tracks into MapSource. I open the page and can read the code, but can't find any options to download or import it. I even updated my Mapsource, but still couldn't find it. I know I've downloaded tracks and routes before, but can't seem to get it to work now. Any su...

Re: Last Minute Get Together for Dinner and camping.
Eddie, Just wanted to say thanks for a great afternoon and night. I made it home with no problems, and even stayed mostly warm. I think my bike looks particularly good with the McL brand on it.

Re: Last Minute Get Together for Dinner and camping.
I worked last night, so I'm off today. At least until tonight. I'm planning on leaving Lee's Summit around 1-1:30. That should get me there around 3-4 depending on my route. I guess that should work fine. I won't be able to spend the night, but BBQ sounds good. I'll bring some cookies for everyone t...

Re: Last Minute Get Together for Dinner and camping.
Eddie, don't you know everyone is going to be in Fayetteville that weekend. First I head about Fayetteville but most people want to keep me in the dark. Even if I knew about it I have work I need to get done Saturday morning around the cabin. Hope to see you Ryan. Eddie I don't think your bike has ...

Re: Last Minute Get Together for Dinner and camping.
Eddie, don't you know everyone is going to be in Fayetteville that weekend. At least that's what I hear. I won't. But I've been asked by several people why I'm not going. The Rusty Jug is only a mile or two from the airport. I could make it another cross country. On second thought I'll just ride my ...

Re: Fall TARkansas ride
Walmart has (had?) a set of two waterproof duffels. I think they are sold as "boat bags" in the camping area for $30. I bought mine several years ago. The larger one is huge and can take an entire camping setup and food for several days. It is actually too big for a trip like this. I've used it on m...

Re: Owner of Eldorado Cycle dies in motorcycle crash
That's bad news. Randy was a first class guy to deal with. I never actually bought a bike from him, but stopped in a couple of times when in the area. Made me want to buy a Triumph just to give him the business. A well run place. A coworker bought a Victory there and said it was exactly like I thoug...

Re: Very Boring Rally-Duluth, MN
If you happen to be heading south sometime between next Wednesday and Sunday, a detour towards Blakesburg IA may be worth a stop if you are interested in vintage aircraft. I'm thinking of flying up, if everything works out just right. More info here: http://www.antiqueairfield.com/flyins/2013-celebr...

Re: Very Boring Rally-Duluth, MN
I've been planning on going. I didn't know I was supposed to register. I guess I didn't do a very good job of researching it.
It just sounded like a good destination at the right time of year.

I finally got around to uploading my pics to photobucket. Here is a link to the album. Hopefully their site works better than it does for me. Re: Spring TAR ride
I just got done doing 4 hrs of bike prep, including new knobbies, and greased just about every bearing front and rear. I'm pretty excited about this trip. I'm pretty sure it is all new territory, and the first time in AR on the DRZ. I am planning on bringing my small Weber "Smokey Joe" grill, some b...
