The trails were hot today...

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/10/21/u2emuha6.jpg After most of a day riding at Oakland we came across a fire. Like good, responsible, outdoors minded people, my brother and I got it under control and put it out. Unsure of it's origin but happy to be finished, we rode on. 300 yards around a bunch of ...

Re: Local to KC dual sport ride Sunday 10/21

Yes, it's gonna be for sale. That is after I replace it's broken clutch slave cylinder! Must have taken a pretty good whack somewhere in Frog Bayou. How is this for the listing: 2005 Husqvarna TE510 - The very best of Italian engineering featuring weird oil viscosity requirements, air filter buried...

Re: Dell's Powersports Flint Hills Dual Sport Ride!

Jeez Troy, can't come up with a better excuse? ;) Feel better soon. A bunch of my co workers have bronchitis and have been coming to work anyway... I'm sure that bodes well for the rest of us.

Re: Local to KC dual sport ride Sunday 10/21

I would be interested but I'm not sure just yet. I was going to go run the kdx around at either Perry or Oakland on Saturday or Sunday. How far out is box turtle road and that minimum maintenance ride y'all did a while back? I am not sure I can commit to an all day ride though.

Re: Wheel bearing retainer clip...

I didn't see what bike you are working on, I'd have to look at a parts fiche to determine how important that snap ring is. It's probably beefy enough cheap snap ring pliers might have trouble. AFAIK snap rings are punched out then heat treated, one side feels almost rounded and the other kinda shar...

Re: Wheel bearing retainer clip...

Lol. Thanks Troy. Getting them in was never an issue. One of them wanted to stay where it was. Forever! I was not sure I was ever going to get the broken retainer clip out of the hub!

In the process the retainer clip that is only installed on side of the wheel anyway feel apart, as you can see. Do I really ne...

Re: Question about riding etiquette

You waited before he had an opportunity to get lost. We are all adults. Ride your own ride. If you can't keep up don't but it is not the other riders job to run slow just because you choose to. Only exception I can see is if it was established ahead of time to stay bunched in a group. You can't plea...

It seems to run well. Jessie rode it in the yard tonight. I can't wait to get out and try it on the trails! I hope you find a new toy of your own Troy.

KDX 200...

So, I found a small cheap dirtbike. I am going to go look at this tonight. Anyone have any terrible stories about a kdx 200? This is a 99 but I am only looking at giving 1000 and it appears to be in good shape.

I am planning on coming providing a few things fall into place. I will be tenting it most likely. I am hoping to have a smaller dirt bike by then but no one on craigslist seems to want to call me back.

Ok guys, here are my photos from the trip. There are a bunch! I went through and deleted some of the go pro photos but I still had a ton.
